Wolverhampton Impact Day 20th February 2020

The University of Wolverhampton is hosting a 'Wolverhampton Impact Day' on 20th February 2020 at its City Campus.

The University’s first impact conference and training day is FREE and open to researchers (staff and students) from all universities, with the aim of improving researchers’ understanding of impact and their ability to achieve impact through their research.

Activities will be relevant to researchers at any stage of their career, from Postgraduate Research (PGR) to research leaders. These will include talks and workshops from internal and external experts, including Dr Hamish MCalpine (Head of Knowledge Exchange, Data and Evidence - Research England), Prof Delma Dwight (Director of Economic Intelligence - Black Country Consortium), Adam Hawksbee (Head of Policy and Programme Development - West Midlands Combined Authority), Prof Jeremy Nicholls (Visiting Professor Value and Impact - Staffordshire University and founder of Social Value UK) and Professor David Bailey (Professor of Business Economics - University of Birmingham).

More speakers and a full schedule of the day will be announced soon.

As well as plenary talks, there will be a host of workshops and training sessions, covering a full range of impact topics including 'strategies for engaging PGR students in research'and 'the pros and cons of interdisciplinary teaching.'

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

There is no registration fee, however, spaces are limited so please register on Eventbrite to secure a place.
