Support the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition

Twelve postgraduate student finalists from the Faculty of Science and Engineering are taking part in a global '3 minute thesis®’ challenge, and students are invited to come along and support them.

Dr Hana Morrissey, Reader in Clinical Pharmacy, School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Science and Engineering, said: "The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition celebrates the exciting research conducted by our research higher degree students and is a first for Wolverhampton.

"The 3MT concept cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills; students have to communicate their work to the audience in three minutes, using only one slide, with no animations.

"This competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

"Following this week's heats, we have 12 finalists who will compete for three prizes; first, runner up and people's choice.

"The event is a proud moment for the participants and we are inviting as many students and staff as possible to attend to help us celebrate our students' achievements. Additionally, you will select the winner of the people's choice prize."

If you are interested in attending, the event runs 10am - 1pm in Millennium City Building, MC001, City Campus on Friday 22 February 2019.
