Occupational English Test (OET) Preparation Courses

The International Academy is now an official Preparation Provider for the OET (Occupational English Test) Nursing.

The OET is an international English language test designed to assess the language communication skills of healthcare professionals who seek to register and practise in an English-speaking environment.  It is now formally recognised by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the General Medical Council (GMC).

The International Academy has a new start date of the 15th June 2020 for the 6 week fully online OET Preparation Course for nurses at a cost of £450.00p

This fully online preparation course familiarises students with the exam skills, language skills, strategies, English vocabulary and grammatical structures needed to take the Occupational English Test (OET). Students will be trained in all sections of the exam and have the opportunity to carry out exam practice in cooperation with other students. Experienced OET tutors will monitor the course, taking part in online discussions and seminars, ensuring all students engage. During the course, you will be part of a community of learning where you will be in contact with tutors and others students from around the world.

In order to benefit fully, you do need a level of English equivalent to IELTS 6, you may be interested to test your English via the OET website  https://www.occupationalenglishtest.org/test-your-english/

Feedback will be given by an approved OET trainer and English language teaching expert.

Please see below for a sample of the depth of feedback given:
