Digitising print books and journal articles for reading lists

23/04/2020

A key concern during this time is how to make learning resources available electronically.

Did you know that the University Library offers a digitisation service that enables you to request electronic versions of chapters or extracts from print books and journal articles that can then be added to reading lists for students to view and download?

The University holds licences from official licensing organisations to enable the limited copying of resources for educational purposes. As you may have seen in recent news, the CLA (Copyright Licensing Agency) Higher Education Licence has been temporarily amended to make it even easier for the Library to source digitised extracts for reading lists during these exceptional circumstances.

To find out more about how you can request electronic versions of essential reading list resources, contact your liaison librarian at LISLiaison@wlv.ac.uk  or visit the Digitisation Service webpage for more information and guidelines on how to make requests via your reading list.
