Wolverhampton Physician Associate Student Success in National Examinations

University of Wolverhampton Physician Associate students have posted their best ever results in their National Qualifying Examinations.

Students who have successfully completed their PGDip in Physician Associate Studies at UoW have to pass a challenging single best answer examination paper, plus a clinically –focussed 14 station OSCE Examination, set and assessed by the Faculty of Physician Associates, (part of the Royal College of Physicians) to enable them to be listed on the Voluntary Register and enable them to practice.

This year, the University has achieved its best results obtained since the programme started 10 years ago..

Head of the School of Medicine & Clinical Practice, Dr Gill Condé says: “I am immensely proud of our students: they have worked incredibly hard to achieve these results. I am also really pleased at the significant improvement in the course performance this academic year. The Course Lead, Mr Peter Gorman, and the teaching team have worked extremely hard to ensure that our students have an excellent educational experience and are given the skills to make them good practitioners. I wish all of the successful students good luck for their future work in the ever-changing NHS, and hope that they remain within the Black Country to contribute to improvements in the health of our local populations."
