IT Essentials

As a new student you will be keen to get to know your digital learning environment and those IT Essentials (Links to an external site.) you will need for your day-to-day studying. After you have enrolled and created your IT Account, whether studying from home on your own device or on campus using a University PC, you will have the same access to applications such as:

+ Microsoft 365 for your email, file creation and storage,

+ Canvas for your Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). For a short video on accessing Canvas support, head here

Teams for online learning sessions

+ MyWLV app for access to everything in one place (including your timetable)

+ e:Vision, our general student portal which you will have used as an applicant

Software and PCs are available for you to use on campus. You can also access a full range of free software (Links to an external site.) to use on your own laptop/PC, including a free version of Microsoft Office 365, after you have enrolled and have your University email address and password. You do not need to buy MS 365!

The Library

The University Library is at the heart of student academic life and offers helpful support and advice to help you with your studies.
