Message from the new Interim Vice-Chancellor

Dear students,

I want to start by welcoming everyone to the new semester of your studies. Whether you're new to the University or returning, I hope you have a fantastic term.

I also want to introduce myself as the new Interim Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wolverhampton. I look forward to meeting some of you over the next 12 months, and I'd like to thank everyone for doing all they can to keep our campuses safe throughout the pandemic.

I was drawn to the University of Wolverhampton because of its strong reputation for being the University of Opportunity, its commitment to student success and transformational education, and its partnerships with the local region. But above all, I admire the energy and resilience of the University and its community, the willingness to overcome barriers and give things a go.

I am spending my first few months listening to staff and students to understand more about the University as we move through these continued challenging times. I want to encourage any students who have something they'd like to share with me to email: vcfeedback@wlv.ac.uk

Thank you, and stay safe.

Professor Ian G. Campbell
Interim Vice-Chancellor

Look after your personal safety

Whether this is your first time living independently or you've been in Wolverhampton for a while, we want to make sure you can safely enjoy your experience here at the University.

Our Personal Safety webpages contain lots of helpful information for students on keeping yourself safe when on campus and in the community. Including top tips, safer walking routes, how to contact our Security team and reporting an incident or safeguarding concern.

We encourage everyone to download the SafeZone app. The app promotes safety in many ways, including fast access to the University's security team whenever and wherever you are on campus. You can also 'check-in' on SafeZone if you are studying alone on campus or outside regular hours.
