Investing in the wifi!
We are upgrading the wifi infrastructure across all campuses, between Monday 6th December, 2022 and Tuesday 17th January, 2023. This work involves replacing many wifi access points we have on all campuses, but should not mean any loss of the wifi service for our staff and students.

The University wifi - we use eduroam
Like most universities, we use eduroam for our wifi. It is free, and after initial set-up, great for roaming around campus and other universities.
To get set up you will need to be connected to the internet, either using your mobile data, your home wifi or the guest wifi network on campus. And your University email address and password.
You can get all your devices set up to connect before you come onto campus!
Connect your iOS/Apple and Windows devices
To get your iOS, MAC and WINDOWS devices connected to eduroam, please visit https://cat.eduroam.org/?idp=187, use the manual search box to search for the University of Wolverhampton profile, install this profile and then log in using your University email address and password.

Issues with eduroam on an Android device
University managed Windows laptop
The settings required to access eduroam are set automatically, but you must connect the laptop to the wired network at least once to get them installed. To check if this has already happened, click Start, then select Control Panel, followed by Network and Sharing Center, then click on Manage wireless networks. If an entry for eduroam appears in the list, then it is ready for use. If not, contact the IT Service Desk on ext. 2000 (01902 322000).
Issues connecting to eduroam?
If you are having issues connecting to eduroam - you may need to forget the other University wireless networks on your device such as wlvstaff, then try connecting again to eduroam.
