Extended Opening Hours at The Library
Extended opening of the libraries will once again be returning in support of the upcoming assessment period.
From Monday 11th April, our libraries at City, Telford and Walsall campuses will all be offering the following extended opening hours:
-
Harrison Library: 24/7*
-
Walsall Library: 24/7*
-
Telford Library: 8.30am - 10pm, Monday - Friday
During these periods of extended opening, face-to-face support from the library team will not be directly available but remote support via our Library Assist: Live Chat will continue as normal.
*24/7 will suspend over Easter. All libraries will be closed on Friday 15th and Sunday 17th April - please see the Library Easter Opening Times for more information.
As always, please remember to bring your campus ID card with you whenever visiting the library.
Support for you
Please remember to take care of yourself and use good study habits during the upcoming assessment periods, including taking regular breaks and resting well. You can find a wealth of mental health and wellbeing advice and resources on the University Mental Health and Wellbeing webpages at wlv.ac.uk/MHW, including Togetherall - the free online mental health support service available to all WLV members, 24/7. Togetherall offer a range of courses that can help you develop good habits and coping strategies during stressful times. These include Managing Stress and Worry, Improving your Sleep, and Assertiveness Training.
And don't forget...
- The Skills for Learning team within the Library offer group workshops, one-to-one appointments, and drop-in sessions if you'd like to speak with someone about developing your academic study skills; as well as online study resources.
- You can also borrow a laptop from the library for long-term loan (up to 30 days), or short-term (up to 6 hours, to use anywhere on campus).
