University of Wolverhampton to jointly host health research conference

The University of Wolverhampton are hosting a joint online health research conference next month with Al-Kitab University in Iraq.

The fourth International Conference on Pharmacy, Biomedical Science and Healthcare Research: Challenges and Solutions for Future Generations will take place virtually on December 9 and 10.

The conference aims to inform all participants about the latest clinical and pharmaceutical research trends, innovations and strategies to address current and future clinical challenges facing our world today, including chronic disease, pandemic infections, and microbial resistance.

Sessions during the conference will cover important areas of health research including: drug design and delivery; antimicrobial strategies; parenteral nutrition; pharmacy and healthcare practice; and innovation and technology in healthcare.

The event will see keynote presentations and workshops from University academics, including Professor Patrick Ball, Professor Supratik Basu, Professor Matthew Brookes, Professor David Churchill, Professor Paul Kirkham, Professor Rebecca Jester, Dr Hana Morrissey and Dr Ian Lahart.

The event will also include presentations from postgraduate research students on both days of the conference with many of the University’s early career researchers presenting their key research findings.

The Director of the Research Institute for Healthcare Science, Professor Tracy Warr said “We’re pleased to be co-hosting the fourth International Conference on Pharmacy, Biomedical Science and Healthcare Research with Al-Kitab University.
