Human Resource Management and Employee Relations Research Cluster

The objective of the Cluster is to contribute to theory and practice in relation to people management, leadership and sustainability.

The Human Resource Management and Employee Relations (HRER) focuses on urgent and important issues of business in society. The cluster captures common interests and approaches of researchers by fostering innovation and co-creation with business, third sector, government and a wide range of stakeholders. Our research is sustained by external grant and funding. The cluster is led by Dr. Wen Wang.

Key Areas

The strategic aims of the HRER are to:

  • Bring together and provide a supportive and stimulating collegial context for researchers, postgraduate students, and postdoctoral fellows working on topics of common or related interest.
  • To conduct and promote responsible research in line with the principles of Responsible Research in Business and Management Network.
  • To attract internal and external research funding for collaborative research
  • To promote innovative work among its members’ spheres of specialism and support their career development.
  • To engage with the business community to promote good leadership and employment practices.
  • To conduct inter-disciplinary research on business success in resource-constrained economies.
