Black History Month 2026

We are delighted to celebrate Black History Month in our libraries with book displays showcasing items from our main collection to provide space for reflection, recognition and celebration.

This years theme for Black History Month is Honouring our Communities and 'invites us to look more closely at something often taken for granted — the communities that shape, support and sustain us.'

As the University community celebrates and honours this month we also invite you to come and borrow any of the books on display in our libraries or browse the available online collection.

On Thursday 15th Oct we have our 'Creative Collective' session at Harrison Library on the ground floor between 12.30-14.00. This is relaxed and inclusive space for staff and students to use their creativity, supplies, inspiration and snacks will be provided, please come along and join the community.
