What's unique about this course?

Opportunities are built in for students to collaborate in peer-to-peer learning activities. This could include things such as small groups using a flipped learning approach (students actively applying their learning in class) such as small group case study analysis, student-led assessment unpacking, group discussions, student-led seminars and problem-based learning.  Safe spaces for students needing to work alone will also be accommodated, fostering our inclusive approach.

Diverse global case studies also form part of module content, and industry speakers from differing sized businesses and underrepresented backgrounds are invited to share their expertise with our students in class.

Students also get to work with industry via live briefs (working directly on industry projects), exposing them to the challenges, creativity and possible solutions that fashion businesses face. These are aimed at developing students’ enterprising mindsets. Students will learn practical technical skills in CAD suites - these hard skills will complement their soft skills and result in well rounded, empowered graduates.

Students will be encouraged to interact with AI responsibly and will be educated about its benefits and limitations for them to do so.

They can also access the university library Skills for Learning Team which offers additional support with skills such as academic writing, finding research, time management and referencing: https://www.wlv.ac.uk/lib/skills-for-learning/
