Building control surveyors keep the built environment safe, and this BSc (Hons) Building Control Surveying (Top-Up) is one of a small number of UK degrees accredited by all three of the profession's leading bodies: the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE)
Delivered part-time over two years, the course is built specifically for people already working towards a career in local authority or private sector building control. If you've completed a Level 4-5 Local Authority Building Control (LABC) qualification, or hold a Foundation Degree in a related built environment subject, this course lets you top up directly to a full honours degree — and take a direct route into CIOB membership without needing an Individual Assessment.
