If you want to turn a passion for sport into a career that makes a genuine difference to human performance and health, BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Wolverhampton gives you the science, the technology and the professional recognition to do it. The course is dual-accredited: endorsed through the Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES) Undergraduate Endorsement Scheme (CUES), and by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA). Together, these endorsements confirm that what you learn meets the standards employers are actually looking for, giving you a head start in a competitive graduate market.

Across three years, you'll study the biomechanical, physiological and psychological influences on human performance in sport, exercise and health. You'll examine how individuals respond and adapt to sport and exercise in a variety of settings, and learn how to design interventions to maximise performance and promote health for a range of people, from elite athletes to clinical populations such as those with obesity or undergoing cardiac rehabilitation. You'll also explore local, national and international public health and sport initiatives that aim to encourage a physically active population.

  • You will graduate with dual professional accreditation from CASES and CIMSPA, recognised by employers across the sport and exercise sector.
  • You will train in genuinely elite facilities, including a 3D motion capture system with over 20 high-speed cameras, an environmental chamber and a zero-gravity treadmill.
  • You will build real industry connections through our partnerships with Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, Walsall FC, West Bromwich Albion, GB Judo and the Birmingham Panthers.
  • You will have a professional placement guaranteed as part of your course.
