Leganto Reading Lists

Leganto is the name of the University’s digital system for creating and managing module reading lists. When a list is published by the Library, it becomes available to your students via Canvas. You can access your assigned Leganto reading lists directly at wlv.ac.uk/leganto.

Support for Your Reading Lists
The Resources Support Librarian team are here to help you with every aspect of Leganto, so whatever your question just get in touch. Email us on leganto@wlv.ac.uk and we'll get back to you promptly, usually within one working day.

We can offer advice if you are:
•   Having trouble with a specific list or unable to find the one you need to edit
•   Unsure how to add resources or which tags to use
•   Confused about navigating Leganto

If you’d like more in-depth support, we also offer one-to-one training sessions and can discuss ways to make your lists more engaging and student-friendly. Appointments are available both online (via Teams) and in person.

You can download our comprehensive Leganto User Guide here: Leganto - a Guide to Managing Your Reading Lists

Reminder - requests for new books and resources ideally should be made during the module update windows, usually in Spring and Winter. This is to give the Library time to get the items before the coming semester.

And please remember to click “My list is ready” when you’ve made any changes to your list!

Leganto: Reviewing Your Reading Lists Online Workshops

Leganto workshops run occasionally during the academic year or can be provided upon request. The sessions are ideal for academics - especially new members of staff - who require a practical introduction to accessing, constructing and submitting their reading lists. A recording of one of our previous sessions is available here: Leganto Workshop Video.

If you are interested in arranging a workshop either for you or your team, or would prefer to receive one-to-one support with your reading lists, please email the Resources Support Librarian team on leganto@wlv.ac.uk to discuss a suitable time.
