MSc Health and Wellbeing (Top-up)

These fees relate to new entrants only for the academic year indicated for entry onto the course, any subsequent years of study may be subject to an annual increase, usually in line with inflation.

 The minimum academic entry requirement is 120 level 7 credits or a completed Post-graduate Diploma at level 7 (Master’s level) in any health, welfare or social care related discipline. These credits / your Diploma must have been fully completed and agreed by an examination board before starting this course.

You may also need to attend an interview and to give a 10 minute presentation on your academic progress to date and your ideas for a Master’s level independent research project.

 You may need to take a research methods module to prepare you for your MSc / MA top up course and before applying for this course:

1. Normally, if you have not studied research methods in your previous PG Diploma, or an equivalent, within the past 5 years you will need to take the Advanced Research Skills module 7HW012 as an associate student before you can apply for the MSc / MA top up course in order to progress to the Research Dissertation 7HW015.
2. Normally, if you have not studied research methods in your previous PG Diploma, or an equivalent, within the past 5 years you will need to take the Critical Awareness of Research module 7HW018 as an associate student before you can apply for the MSc / MA top up course in order to progress to the Evidence Based Practice Project 7HW020.
3. Normally, if you have not studied research methods in your previous PG Diploma, or an equivalent, within the past 5 years you will need to take the Professional Consultancy Project Support module 7HW0** as an associate student before you can apply for the MSc / MA top up course in order to progress to the Professional Consultancy Project 7HW044

 If English is not your first language you will need to have a TOEFL score of 550 or above, or an IELTS score of 6.5 or above, or evidence of English proficiency equivalent to these scores.

This course is not available to students requiring a Tier 4 student visa

Postgraduate Loyalty Discount:

You can get 20% discount on a taught postgraduate course if you’re a University of Wolverhampton Graduate.

The University offers a generous 20% Loyalty Discount to students progressing from an undergraduate programme to a taught postgraduate on-site programme, where both courses are University of Wolverhampton Awards.

There is no time limit on how long ago you completed your degree as long as this is your first Masters level qualification.

Self-funded:

If you are paying for the fees yourself then the fees can be paid in 3 instalments: November, January and April. More information can be found by clicking here.

Sponsored - Your employer, embassy or organisation can pay for your Tuition fees:

Your employer, embassy or organisation agrees to pay all or part of your tuition fees; the University will refer to them as your sponsor and will invoice them for the appropriate amount.

We must receive notification of sponsorship in writing as soon as possible, and before enrolment, confirming that the sponsor will pay your tuition fees.

Financial Hardship:

Students can apply to the Dennis Turner Opportunity Fund for help with course related costs however this cannot be used for fees or to cover general living costs.

Charitable Funding:

You might also want to explore the possibility of funding from charitable trusts. Please contact Association of Charitable Foundations, Directory of Social Change or Family Aid. Most charities and trust funds offer limited bursaries targeted to specific groups of students so you will need to research whether any of them are relevant to your situation.
