A Tapestry of Voices: Weaving Inclusivity into Education and Conferences

Following on for last years Disability History Month activity, this seminar focuses on inclusivity challenges in existing traditional conference experiences.

The seminar will feature information on several current Disability Staff Network initiatives including:

  • The Disability Staff Network’s current research project entitled ‘Co-creating Accessible Conferences: A Disability Inclusion Toolkit.’
  • Collaborative work with The International Education Studies Association (TIESA) annual conference, which the University of Wolverhampton will be hosting this year at City Campus and online. The conference is entitled ‘A Tapestry of Voices: Weaving Inclusivity into Education and Conferences.’

It will also include an open forum for discussion on attendees lived experiences and collective consideration on how we can enhance inclusivity within conference organisation and practice. This seminar provides opportunity to learn from shared experiences and contribute to tangible changes in our approach to accessibility and inclusivity.
