What are badges?
Digital badges are self-directed courses you can work through at a pace that suits you. Once you’ve completed a course, you’ll be awarded a digital badge which you can share on portfolio websites such as LinkedIn – a great way to enhance your employability!
We currently have three live courses available that will help you to boost your academic skills to get the most out of your learning experience, harness the power of digital tools and technology safely and responsibly, and prepare for the workplace whilst developing career management skills. We are developing more badges across the University, so keep an eye out for updates.

Sharing Badges Online
Sharing your badge awards on Linkedin is a great way to demonstrate your professional, technical and academic skills. To upload a badge to LinkedIn, follow these steps:
- Make sure you're signed up to Parchment, using your student email address
- Follow the steps at the bottom of this page (note that the first section covers 'sharing' your badge as a post, rather than 'adding' it under your certifications).
