Honorary Award recognises driving force behind ADHD initiatives
The University of Wolverhampton has recognised a local academic for being the driving force behind several ADHD-related initiatives.
Honorary awards are presented by the University of Wolverhampton to people who have made a significant contribution to their field of expertise.
Professor James Brown has been awarded a Doctor of Science for his significant presence in the field of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), especially in adults.
He is a co-founder of the registered charity ADHDadultUK; focusmag.uk, an evidence-based online magazine; and The ADHD Adults’ Podcast.
He is also an author, public speaker, consultant, science communicator and ADHD coach.
James said: “"I am thrilled to receive this Honorary Award from the University where my academic career began. The skills I have learned that have enabled me to achieve success in both academia and science communication, two areas that have been pivotal in supporting the adult ADHD community, were formed at the University of Wolverhampton. I am especially proud of our long-running association."
The University’s graduation ceremonies are taking place at University of Wolverhampton The Halls from Friday 6 September to Friday 13 September 2024.
