The University of Wolverhampton is inviting nominations for its Alumni Awards 2026, celebrating the exceptional achievements and impact of its global community of graduates.

Nominations opened on 11 May 2026 and will remain open until 19 June 2026, with alumni encouraged to put themselves forward or nominate fellow graduates whose accomplishments deserve recognition.

Now in its fifth year, the prestigious awards recognise individuals who are making a difference across professions, industries and communities – locally, nationally and around the world.

Distinguished Service Award winner 2025, Rezwana Ahmed, who flew in from her home in Bangladesh for the event, said:

“During my studies at Wolverhampton, I found my true self. Even after I completed my studies, I never stopped returning here. The Award came as a shocking surprise! Something I never imagined but humbly accepted and appreciate. I was touched and truly obliged. It gave me assurance that life does value our deeds.”

The University is calling on its alumni network, alongside staff and partners, to help identify and champion success stories that reflect the strength, quality and reach of a Wolverhampton education.

David Wedge, Head of Alumni & Development at the University of Wolverhampton, said:

“Our Alumni Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the incredible achievements of our graduates and the impact they are making across the world. Each year, the calibre of nominations we receive is what makes the awards so special.

“We know there are many inspiring stories within our global alumni community, and we would encourage graduates to come forward - whether nominating themselves or others - to ensure their achievements are recognised and celebrated.”

The Alumni Awards are a highlight of the University calendar, bringing together graduates from diverse backgrounds to celebrate success, share stories and recognise the lasting impact of their University experience.
