OA Week Day 5: Open Research Games
Sarah Dar, Scholarly Communications Officer
Have fun testing your knowledge of open access and open research! You might also discover something you didn’t know already. If you’re pressed for time, try out the mini games. If you’d like a longer challenge then you might want to give the open access themed virtual escape room a go.
Mini Games
If you have a spare 5 minutes, these mini games that we’ve created provide a way of exercising the grey cells and testing what you know about open research:
The Puzzling Hunt for Open Access
The Puzzling Hunt for Open Access is a virtual “Escape Room” themed around Open Access developed by Hannah Crago and Katrine Sundsbø from the University of Essex library.
A villain has locked away all research here at the University of Essex, and is threatening to lock away all the research in the world. Your task is to stop them, unlock the research, and make everything free to access again…
