Postgraduate Masters Occupational Therapy Interviews
Once you have applied for our Occupational Therapy Masters course and have been shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview.
Interview method: Interviews will be On-Campus for HOME students and only Online for INTERNATIONAL applicants for those wishing to start in 2026.
On-Campus Interviews: The Samuel Johnson (WN) Building, Walsall Campus, WS1 3BD. Directions can be found here.
Interview preparation- Important Information
Pre-interview tasks required:
- Have a form of identification (e.g. passport, driving licence, etc.) ready to present on arrival.
- You are asked to access the The NHS Constitution for England - GOV.UKs to read in readiness for your interview.
- Do you know enough about the course you have applied for? Research information about the course, the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and visit our postgraduate open evenings where you can come and speak to our staff and students www.wlv.ac.uk/opendays.
- For Home/UK Applicants (On-Campus) - Please arrive from 30 minutes before the interview to ensure you are on time. In many cases, latecomers will not be permitted.
- For International applicants (Online), please ensure you have fully charged device and you have your e-mail account open on this device no later than 10 minutes before your interview time.
- At the start of the interview, you must show a form of picture ID as proof of who the interviewer is talking to. Acceptable documents include a passport, driving license, college ID badge, etc. (please note we do not accept copies).
- For our Home/UK Applicants (On-Campus), The interview will last up to 3 hours to include a welcome presentation, campus tour, group activity, and your individual interview.
- For International applicants (Online), your interview will consist of two parts: Part 1 is a Group Introduction and a group activity and Part 2 is a 1:1 interview. Both Part 1 and 2 will be online via TEAMS and it is mandatory to attend both parts of the interview.
- You will not be asked to present certificates at your interview. Admissions will ask you for these after the interview if you are offered a place.
After attending your interview, you will be notified on whether or not you’ve passed within 3-5 working days. If you are successful, your offer will be confirmed within 14 working days.

If you’re unable to attend your interview, you can decline your date/time via e:Vision up to 48 hours before your selection event and you must then log a helpdesk call to request a new date or withdrawal. Please note if you fail to notify us that you’re unable to attend, your application will be rejected.
