Visa Information for After Your Studies

If you’re finishing your studies at the University of Wolverhampton, you might be considering:


- Further study in the UK.

Work Visa Options After Graduation

- Graduate Route Visa (for degree holders)

  • A Graduate visa lasts for:

    • 2 years if you apply on or before 31 December 2026
    • 18 months if you apply on or after 01 January 2027

    If you have a PhD or other doctoral qualification, it will last for 3 years.

    Your visa will start from the day your application is approved.

  • No job sponsorship required.

- Skilled Worker Visa

  • Requires a job offer from a UK employer with a sponsor licence.
  • The job must meet salary and skill requirements.
  • Get advice from your employer or independent sources – the Student Visa Compliance and Advice team cannot advise on Skilled Worker requirements.
