Deaffest is coming to the University of Wolverhampton on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 May, and we are looking for volunteers to help support this fantastic event.

Deaffest is the UK’s leading Deaf-led film and arts festival, celebrating Deaf culture, creativity and community. It brings together Deaf and hearing audiences through film screenings, performances, workshops and shared experiences, creating an inclusive space that showcases Deaf talent and raises awareness of Deaf culture and communication.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved, support the Deaf community, and be part of a really special event taking place on campus.

We are looking for volunteers to assist across the two days in a variety of roles.

There will also be an opportunity to take part in Deaf Awareness/Basic Sign Language training on 5 May (AM) and 6 May (PM), to help you feel more confident and prepared for the event.

If you are interested, please contact EEevents@wlv.ac.uk to get involved.
