Free TB test for students at the Health Hub - Thursday 23 April
A free and confidential latent TB (tuberculosis) test is available for eligible students.
Latent TB is an inactive form of TB. It does not cause symptoms and cannot be passed to others, but testing and treatment can help protect your health in the future.
Where and when:
- Student Health Hub, Ambika Paul Building, City Campus
- Thursday 23 April, drop-in between 12.30pm and 2.30pm (no booking required)
Who can have the free test?
You may be eligible if all of the following apply:
- You were born in, or lived for more than 6 months in one of the listed countries (see attached document) or in Sub‑Saharan Africa
- You arrived in the UK within the last 5 years
- You are aged 16–35
- You have never had TB or latent TB
- You have not previously been screened for latent TB in the UK
All tests, discussions and results are private and confidential.
GP registration
If you are not registered with a GP, support will be available on the day to help you register.
