Important Update: Network outage resolution
Network issue update - issued 4pm, Wednesday 15 April 2026
Dear students,
Earlier this morning (15 April 2026) the University experienced a network outage. This outage impacted some key systems that had the potential to compromise student and staff safety such that we took the decision to cancel teaching and close our campuses whilst our technical teams resolved the issue.
We are pleased to inform you that the issue causing the outage has now been resolved, and all campuses will be open tomorrow Thursday 16 April 2026, with teaching taking place and services operating as normal.

Assessment submissions
Given the impact of the network outage on assessments due today, we have extended all assessments due to be submitted today (15 April 2026) to Friday (17 April 2026).
For any assessments not submitted via Canvas (such as examinations or OSCEs) that were due to be undertaken today, will be rearranged to a future date – you will be contacted directly about this by your module team. Assessments due to be submitted tomorrow (16 April 2026) should be submitted as normal.
