The University is celebrating today after being named a finalist in five categories at the 2026 Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) - the UK’s largest student-led awards, based entirely on verified reviews from current students.

This year, more than 42,000 student reviews were submitted across the UK, recognising universities that deliver outstanding experiences, support and facilities for their students.

The University of Wolverhampton has been shortlisted in the following five categories:

  • University of the Year
  • Halls and Student Accommodation
  • Students’ Union
  • Facilities
  • Student Support

Daniel Kidd, Dean of Students, University of Wolverhampton said:

“I’m delighted that we’ve been shortlisted in five categories. Because these awards are based entirely on student reviews, the recognition feels especially meaningful for me and for the teams who work hard every day to deliver excellent teaching, support and facilities. This shortlisting is a testament to the staff who consistently put students first and strive to ensure their experience at Wolverhampton is both positive and transformative.”

The WUSCAs celebrate excellence across 12 categories and are widely regarded as the sector’s most meaningful awards because they reflect the honest views of students themselves. The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 21 May 2026 at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, London.
