Have Your Say: Take the 2026 Travel Survey

We’re launching the 2026 Travel Survey and we want to hear from you. Your feedback will help shape the future of travel, transport and sustainability across the University.

Whether you walk, drive, cycle, take the bus, or travel from home during term breaks, your experiences matter. The survey is a key part of updating the University’s Travel Plan Strategy, and it will also support wider planning work across our campuses.

Your responses will help the University understand:

  • How students currently travel to and from campus.
  • Any challenges you face (including transport issues and parking).
  • What prevents students from choosing more sustainable ways to travel.

This information will inform improvements that make travel easier, safer and more accessible for everyone.

The survey will also collect details about student travel home at the start, end and middle of term. This contributes to the University’s reporting on Scope III emissions, these are the indirect greenhouse gas emissions created by activities we don’t directly control, such as commuting, waste, and purchased goods. Understanding these emissions helps the University track its environmental impact and plan meaningful carbon‑reduction actions.

Your voice matters.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. As a thank you, if you leave your email address at the end of the survey you will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 High Street Voucher.
