The University of Wolverhampton is celebrating the success of alumna Mrs Sesi‑Oluwatoyin Orere, who has been announced as a national finalist in the Business and Innovation Award category of the prestigious Study UK Alumni Awards 2026 in Nigeria.
The Study UK Alumni Awards, organised by the British Council, recognise outstanding international graduates of UK universities who are making an impact in their communities, professions and countries. Mrs Orere’s selection as a national finalist highlights her achievements and the global influence of Wolverhampton alumni.
The Awards Ceremony will take place on 28 February in Lagos, where national finalists from across Nigeria will be celebrated, and the national winner will be announced.
Sesi‑Oluwatoyin Orere said: "Being named a finalist for these awards in Nigeria, while representing the University of Wolverhampton, is a deeply meaningful honour. It recognises the work I do through 402 Coaching Company, The Mindful Business Leadership Academy, KingdomPrenure, The Wellness Hub Africa and my 14 plus published books, all centred on bridging emotional wellness and practical business strategy. For me, this shortlisting is a powerful reminder that bold ideas, consistent service and a commitment to solving real problems do not go unnoticed."
David Wedge, Head of Alumni and Development added: “We are delighted to see that Sesi has been shortlisted for such a prestigious award, in recognition of her achievement and we wish her every success at the ceremony where she will fly the University flag as an alumna in Nigeria.”
The University of Wolverhampton is proud to see its graduates recognised on the global stage, reflecting the institution’s commitment to transforming lives through education and fostering talent that drives innovation across industries and international communities.
