You Shape The Future @ Wolves

At the University of Wolverhampton, we value your opinion. We view students as 'Co-creators' and therefore, if something is important to you, it’s important for us to know. Whether you are doing your first degree with us or a Masters qualification, we want to hear what all our students have to say!

In order to strengthen this partnership, we have launched Student Voice to collect the feedback you provide through a variety of ways including national surveys such as NSS (National Student Survey), UKES (UK Engagement Survey), PTES (Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey) and PRES (Postgraduate Research Experience Survey), to name just a few.

The main aim of this service is to ensure that your voices are gathered coherently and presented at the highest level within the University planning processes, helping to shape the future of our academic and student support services.

Who is best to know what our students want? Our own students!  

We want all our students to achieve their full academic potential and progress into a career that is fulfilling. And in order to ensure that we meet this objective, we are always willing to listen, learn and make adjustments where needed.  

For example, our Telford Innovation Campus-based students asked for a Students’ Union presence on-campus and so working with the SU we have ensured that you have a weekly presence during term-time. Likewise, we know that some of our students wanted more focussed mental health and wellbeing. Please do explore our enhanced services.

Your views also help us to make decisions where investments need to be made to support your academic journey. We invested an additional £1.6 million into creating new digital library solutions such as a new interactive reading list and BrowZine. The 24/7 library is also back as a result of your feedback.

So thank you for all your feedback and we hope that when this new cycle of surveys starts from January 2020, we will have greater participation than last year.
