Marketing students benefit from Wintech partnership
In November, Wintech Marketing Manager, Parmjeet Kooner, delivered a presentation to Level 6 Marketing students detailing the rapid development of Wintech’s marketing strategy.
In her well-received presentation, Parmjeet demonstrated the extent to which the marketing team is instrumental to the success of a small-medium enterprise (SME), suggesting that if all departments of an SME make up an aeroplane, the marketing team is the sat-nav, giving direction to the business.
The relationship between Wintech and the University of Wolverhampton has provided students with an opportunity to hear from an experienced marketing professional who was part of the team who transformed the marketing and communications strategy of one of the UK’s leading Façade Engineering Consultancy Firms.
Explaining how learning about Wintech’s progress has been beneficial to her students, Senior Lecturer in Marketing Hajrija Dergić commented:
“We were extremely pleased to benefit from an insightful guest talk from Wintech’s Marketing Manager. Over the course of this semester, our Marketing students have supported local start-ups and SMEs with their marketing activities, and to see the great work undertaken by a thriving Wolverhampton-based firm was extremely positive. Wintech has been effective with both their internal and external initiatives, especially the effective planning and implementation of their marketing strategy, which was valuable for our students”.
