Visit to University shines spotlight on international recruitment

The University of Wolverhampton welcomed its international partner, Global Reach, during a visit to the UK recently - shining the spotlight on increasing international student recruitment.

Over the last 31 years international student recruitment agent, Global Reach, has counselled over 4,00,000 students and successfully placed more than 50,000 students in various prestigious institutions in more than 18 countries.

A group of 16 members of Global Reach from India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, set out from New Delhi to visit the UK for a 15-day trip, travelling to 15 universities to familiarise themselves with partners so they can counsel every student individually.

The University gave the delegation a tour of the University of Wolverhampton’s City and Springfield Campuses.

Colleagues from the University’s Global Opportunities team and Faculties of Science, Engineering and Arts, showcased its world-class facilities, including the new School of Architecture and Built Environment & Civil Engineering at the £120M Springfield Campus and the School of Creative Industries, including the £5M new Screen School at City Campus.

Sergine Monple, Director of Student Recruitment, said: “The agency is now putting extra effort into increasing international student recruitment in the UK having recently expanded to cover Australia. To achieve the same results as Australia, they are visiting various partner Universities in London, West Midlands, Northwest and Northeast England and Scotland in a bid to help the counsellors to guide students based on their real-time UK experience.

“It was wonderful to welcome them to Wolverhampton and to showcase our amazing facilities both in the City and at Springfield Campus.”
