About Adrian

Adrian Hallmark has spent almost three decades working at the highest levels of the global automotive industry. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wolverhampton before going on to complete a management diploma, beginning a career that would take him into senior roles with some of the world's most recognised automotive brands.

His career has included senior positions with Porsche, Volkswagen and Saab, as well as two spells at Bentley. He first joined Bentley in 1999 as a board member responsible for sales, marketing and PR, and played a key role in the launch of the Continental GT. He later became Global Strategy Director at Jaguar Land Rover before returning to Bentley as Chairman and CEO in 2018.

Adrian became Chief Executive Officer of Aston Martin Legonda in 2024, bringing his experience in luxury cars, global brands and business leadership to one of Britain's best-known automotive companies. His career, from studying engineering at Wolverhampton to leading an iconic British marque, is a strong example of where a combination of technical knowledge, commercial experience and ambition can take you.

Class of 1984

If anybody's looking to get into engineering, what I've seen at the University of Wolverhampton in terms of the equipment as well as the people and the skills and knowledge that are there, they are up there or at the top of several aspects of the modern curriculum of engineering.
