Your Timetable:
Your timetable is your guide to university life, showing:
- Class dates and times
- Teaching locations
- Module activities
- Learning sessions specific to your course
Make checking your timetable part of your daily routine to stay organised and prepared.
Understanding Your Academic Calendar:
University life is organised a little differently from school or college, so it's important to familiarise yourself with the academic calendar.
The academic year is divided into semesters, each containing 12 weeks of teaching activities. Throughout the year, you'll experience a mix of:
- Teaching weeks
- Revision weeks
- Assessment weeks
- Vacation periods between semesters
Most courses use these semester dates to organise modules and teaching activities. View the full Academic Calendar
Timetable Availability:
Once you have completed enrolment including the ID Check, your course and module information will automatically be passed to the Timetabling Team.
Using this information, the team will begin the process of fitting you into specific groups so that your timetable is personalised to you. This process can take up to 5 working days to complete.
Whilst you are waiting for your personalised timetable, you can still get a head start by searching for a module timetable through MyTimetable.
- Semester 1 timetables for the 2026/27 academic year are expected to be published around mid-August 2026.
- Semester 2 timetables will be published before the Christmas vacation.
Accessing your Timetable:
As soon as your personalised timetable is ready, you'll be able to access it through:
- The MyWLV App (available from the Apple or Google Paly store)
- Or online at my.wlv.ac.uk
You will need your University email and password to log in.
Timetable changes:
Throughout the year your timetable may change. We recommend checking your timetable regularly, particularly at the start of a semester.
Changes may include:
- Room updates
- Time changes
- Additional sessions
