Prospective students who attend an Open Day or Applicant Day at University of Wolverhampton and live outside of the Birmingham, Dudley, Sandwell, Shropshire, Solihull, Telford and Wrekin, Walsall and Wolverhampton local authorities, or have travelled from outside of the UK, are able to claim back travel expenses in the form of an Amazon Voucher.
Travel Reimbursement Policy
University of Wolverhampton is offering prospective students to claim back the cost of their travel to our open days or applicant days. This offer is only valid for students who have pre-booked one of our open days and will be in the form of an Amazon voucher.
For students who pre-book our open days or applicant days and live outside of the Birmingham, Dudley, Sandwell, Shropshire, Solihull, Telford and Wrekin, Walsall and Wolverhampton local authorities or have travelled from outside of the UK. The offer is only valid for the student’s travel cost and not for any accompanying guests. The distance is calculated using google maps. For students living within 20 miles there are a number of buses the university runs from local areas to support with your travel to and from events. Information about these will be shared when you book onto an event.
Students will be required to provide their postcode on booking and bring a copy of proof of their address. This will need to be an addressed letter (e.g. letter/ statement from a bank or building society, utility bill and council tax bill)
Attendance at our open days will be recorded by University of Wolverhampton staff and you must register at a registration point where you will provide evidence of your receipts/ address. This information will be used to register student attendance and eligibility to claim.
Expenses will be issued based on the distance travelled from the university.

Travel must have been undertaken either the calendar day before or after the open day (for petrol claims, please see more information below) or the exact date of the open day. Only the student’s travel is redeemable under the conditions of this offer.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and any dispute relating to them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
University of Wolverhampton’s liability for losses you suffer as a result of us breaking this agreement is strictly limited to the value of this agreement.
This does not include or limit in any way University of Wolverhampton’s liability:
For death or personal injury caused by University of Wolverhampton’s negligence;
Under section 2(3) of the Consumer Protection Act 1987;
For fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
For any matter for which it would be illegal for us to exclude, or attempt to exclude, University of Wolverhampton’s liability.
University of Wolverhampton is not responsible for indirect losses which happen as a side-effect of the main loss or damage including but not limited to:
Loss of income or revenue
Loss of business
Loss of profits or contracts
Loss of anticipated savings
Loss of data, or
Waste of management or office time however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise provided that this shall not prevent claims for loss of or damage to University of Wolverhampton’s tangible property that fall within the terms above or any other claims for direct financial loss that are not excluded by any of categories (a) to (f) inclusive of this section.
Unless it expressly states otherwise, these terms and conditions do not give rise to any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of the Contract.
A waiver of any right or remedy under these terms and conditions or by law is only effective if given in writing and shall not be deemed a waiver of any subsequent right or remedy. A failure or delay by a party to exercise any right or remedy provided under these terms and conditions or by law shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy, nor shall it prevent or restrict any further exercise of that or any other right or remedy. No single or partial exercise of any right or remedy provided under these terms and conditions or by law shall prevent or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy.
Data Protection: Any personal data provided to us in connection with this competition will be held and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may also use that data for administration of and communication with this competition. By submitting your personal information in connection with this competition you consent to the processing of your personal data as set out above and you confirm that the information is accurate and complete.
University of Wolverhampton reserves the right to change the vouchers offered without prior notice.
University of Wolverhampton reserves the right to request the original receipts, if required, to validate any claims submitted.
University of Wolverhampton reserves the right to terminate this offer without prior notice.
Submission of proof of address by a student confirms that the student agrees to the terms and conditions of this offer.
