Looking for Alternative Student Accommodation?
We know everyone’s different when it comes to where they live. You might want your own studio, a house with friends, or to share with a partner—and that’s totally up to you.
Whatever you choose, we want you to have the best possible student experience and feel at home where you live.
There are also plenty of purpose-built student accommodation options near our campuses that aren’t run by the University, which you might like to check out.

University of Wolverhampton Students' Union webpages also have a student accommodation section where you'll be able to find a list of letting agencies that allow student lettings, as well as information and advice about student housing options, and what you need to do.
Renting privately is very different from living in on-campus accommodation, and there are several additional factors you will need to consider. For example, many private landlords require a guarantor, you will not have access to 24/7 security, and utility bills may not be included in your rent. Even if bills are included, there may be a cap on how much the landlord will contribute towards gas and electricity. If you choose to live in private housing off campus, we recommend renting from landlords accredited by Wolverhampton Council. They are then advertised on the Call Us First scheme.
