JORDAN BRIDGES: Nursing ambitions to change perceptions of mental health
Jordan Bridges, 22 from Birmingham, has graduated with a degree in Mental Health Nursing from the University of Wolverhampton's Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing.
Jordan had always wanted to be a nurse and studied Health and Social Care before starting her degree, choosing Mental Health Nursing because she wanted to make a difference to how mental health is perceived.
She said: "I wanted to help people and make a change and help save lives. I always knew I wanted to be a nurse but I chose mental health because I think it's very stigmatized and I wanted to make a difference with that.
"I'm very proud of myself for graduating, it's boosted my confidence and I really feel that I can go out there and make a change."
Jordan is working as a Mental Health Nurse at Hallam Street Hospital in West Bromwich.
