Bernadette Francis, originally from Monseratt before learning her craft in Antigua has many years of experience making unique hand woven home interior textiles designs made using innovative sources of natural yarns. She shares her passion and expertise, as well as explaining some of the history and technique involved in weaving her beautiful cloths. This event is free to students at the University of Wolverhampton but everyone else attending is asked to make a donation of what they can afford. The event is designed to inspire an interest in weaving with the hope that Bernadette may be able to set up regular classes somewhere in Wolverhampton.

This event follows on from Bernadette's excellent event at Wolverhampton Art Gallery as part of the Black Craft and Graft weekend. Her work can be seen on her website https://fab-weaves.co.uk/
