UK Research and Innovation – Future Leaders Fellowship Opportunity

Are you an early career researcher who wants to establish career independence? Research Services is calling for interest in the Future Leaders Fellowship Funding Opportunity.

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has recently published a pre-announcement regarding the latest round (9) of the Future Leaders Fellowships. The application form for this scheme can be found at the end of this news page. 

This scheme is aimed at early career researchers and innovators who are transitioning to or establishing independence, or who may be developing their own original and ambitious plans within a commercial setting. Activities must allow the fellows to fully develop their leadership potential and result in high quality research and/or innovation.

The scheme aims to be as inclusive as possible, welcoming applications from all disciplines, and there are no eligibility rules requiring you to hold a PhD (although you must be able to demonstrate equivalent research or innovation experience or training).

An institutional process will be followed, as there will be a limit of submitting 2 applications for this call. As a result of this, applications will be reviewed by an internal panel to select the 2 applicants who will be supported to submission. Full applications will follow the university funding peer review process. The UKRI deadline for full proposals is 18 June 2024.
