Exams, and the assessment period in general, are never easy. They can be stressful and overwhelming, but they don’t have to be and there are plenty of things you can do to help you prepare academically, mentally, and physically. Here you will find advice and support to help you prepare and get through the assessment period.

Support from the Library 

During the assessment period, the Library is your go-to place for support,  offering regular drop-in sessions, exam preparation workshops, extended opening hours, free refreshments, and a variety of wellbeing activities.

  • Skills for exams: Access library drop-in support and workshops, and find top tips for preparing yourself for your exams including a time management tutorial.  
  • Finding the right study environment: Whether revising on campus or at home, getting your study environment right for you is key.
  • Study healthy: Learn how to prepare your mind for revision and assessment with these tips from the library and the University's Wellbeing Champions.
  • Exam support resources: Browse the Exam Support and Wellbeing book collections.

Wellbeing support: WLV Student Life Connect 

Looking after your wellbeing is as important as ever during busy and stressful periods.  The University of Wolverhampton has developed a student support platform in collaboration with Care First called WLV Student Life Connect. This is a counselling, information and advice service offering support for issues arising at university, home, or work. It is a FREE, CONFIDENTIAL, INDEPENDENT, and IMPARTIAL source of support for you, available online, via a dedicated phone line, and app.
