myWLV app awarded Gold status in recent USwitch review

myWLV is the University of Wolverhampton's student app, offering everything you need for your learning and education experience, in one place! In an independent review by USwitch mobiles, myWLV has achieved a fantastic gold status result, based on user feedback, and ranked within the top 20 institutes.  

Recent statistics have found that there are approximately 2.86 million students in the UK at higher education institutions. For many students, online learning and study apps have become an integral part of their learning. The majority of universities in the UK offer an accompanying app to assist students with their university experience.

A report compiled by Uswitch mobiles has granted the fifty largest universities in the UK one of four tier awards (platinum, gold, silver and bronze) based on accessibility, features and popularity of their accompanying apps. They also looked at:

• total downloads of the app in relation to university population
• average rating of the app across the Apple App store and Google Play store
• amount of reviews given across both app stores 
• number of features the application has (from a pre-determined features list).

The myWLV app achieved gold status with the majority of features (including library account, timetable, events announcements and info and capability to contact staff) and a higher-than-average user rating of 4.1 out of a maximum 5.0 points.
