Join a Care first wellbeing webinar

Care first is available 24/7 to offer support, advice and counselling on any personal or workplace related issues, as well as a regular programme of webinars open to all staff and students. 

No matter how small or big the problem, Care first counsellors are available to you. All Care first counsellors are professionally qualified and accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

The following Care first webinars are open to all University of Wolverhampton members (staff and students) though some may be of greater relevance to staff. See descriptions below. 

Sessions run from 12 noon-12.30pm, unless otherwise stated. 

March

  • Wednesday 20 March - Care first Awareness: How Care first can support you 
    • A webinar to raise awareness of the service and information on how to access the EAP support provided by Care first.

  • Friday 22 March - Service Awareness: Practical Information and Advice through Care first
    • This webinar provides details about who our Information Specialists are and their role as part of your EAP service.

  • Wednesday 3 April - Care First Awareness: How Care first can support you
    • A webinar to raise awareness of the service and information on how to access the EAP support provided by Care first.

  • Friday 5 April - Financial wellbeing: Managing your finances with PayPlan with guest speaker and finance expert Antony Price.
    • A session with guest speaker, Antony Price, from PayPlan, the Finance and Debt Management Experts. This webinar aims to 
      support listeners with tips to help manage their finances.

  • Monday 8 April - Care First Awareness: Understanding Care first cCBT
    • This webinar provides further information on Care first’s own modular cCBT (computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) course.

    • A webinar to raise awareness of the service and information on how to access the EAP support provided by Care first.

  • Friday 12 April - Mental wellbeing: Stress Awareness Month
    • In line with Stress Awareness Month, this webinar looks at the impact stress can have on our day to day lives while detailing 
      techniques and strategies for helping manage stress.

Don't worry if you can not join a session live. You can access recordings from the registration link after the session.

  • Students can access wellbeing support through our WLV Student Life Connect platform, as well as wider support and advice available from the University at wlv.ac.uk/mhw
  • Staff can find out more about Care first support offered through the Employee Assistance Programme on the HR Wellbeing Hub.
