Improving your Academic English workshops

The Academic English Team is pleased to announce the return of its popular 'Improving your Academic English' online workshops.

Do your students need help with their Academic English? If so, they may be interested in these FREE online workshops.

These free workshops are designed for students who are users of English as an Additional Language (both International and Home) and who are not already receiving similar sessions as part of their degree course.  Areas covered include paraphrasing, academic language and style, and paragraph structure.

The Semester 1 workshops, which run from week 4 (week beginning 14 October) to week 10 (week beginning 25 November) are delivered via MS Teams.  Each workshop is repeated 3 times within the week, so students only need to join one session a week. 

Interested students should enrol as soon as possible on the Academic English Language Skills Canvas topic, using this link: https://canvas.wlv.ac.uk/enroll/6AHT8E

On that Canvas topic, students will find more information about the workshops, plus links to useful resources. On the day of the workshop they wish to join, they simply click on the relevant MS Teams meeting link.
