Creative Futures: Jason Fernandes, 3D Designer & 3D Design Lecturer

Artsfest Artsfest 2021 / Creative Futures: Jason Fernandes, 3D Designer & 3D Design Lecturer

Creative Futures and Artsfest Online are pleased to present the next instalment in our series of talks where creatives will share insider knowledge on forging a career pathway within the arts.

Jason graduated from Product Design in 2002 and has 10 + years’ experience as a designer and design manager within the retail display and estate agent markets. Now a 3D lecturer here at the University of Wolverhampton, Jason is here to share his experiences of establishing his career: negotiating the tricky process of securing his first graduate job in the UK as an international student, being the only designer in a company, and earning respect and reputation as a designer. A creative career can have many twists and turns. Jason will also talk about setting up his own business making French Macaroons and making the switch to lecturing.

This event was recorded on 27th October 2021.
