Support to study

Support for mums

Support to Study  holds a monthly drop-in session for new and expectant mums

The drop-in will be a safe space to come and make connections with other students who have either recently had a baby or are pregnant. We are happy to welcome ‘babes in arms’, so please feel free to bring along your newborn. We will have a steady supply of hot drinks and biscuits, so come for a chat with other new student mums.

There will be colleagues on hand to talk about reasonable adjustments that the university can put in place whilst you are pregnant and for up to a year after the birth of your baby. Our Student Wellbeing Champions will also be joining us and we will have information about the different options available to support your study. Students on a Leave of Absence due to maternity are also very welcome to attend.

If you email Supporttostudy@wlv.ac.uk with ‘Expectant and New Mum’ in the title, we will add you to the mailing list and keep you updated with the drop-in dates.
