International students benefit from online English Language test
The University of Wolverhampton has partnered with Oxford International to offer International and Transnational Education students a new online English Language test.
The Oxford International Digital Institute English Language Level Test (OIDI ELLT) is a University of Wolverhampton approved test which provides evidence of English language ability for entry for International students onto University of Wolverhampton Undergraduate or Master’s degree courses.
The new test replaces the University’s former Wolverhampton English Proficiency Exam (Wepe).
Sergine Monple, Director of Global Opportunities, said: “Unlike other language level tests, our English Language Level Test is administered completely online via our ELLT Portal. The ELLT allows students to assess their English proficiency level from the comfort of their home.
“The ELLT Portal has been designed to make the English Language Level Test as accessible as possible for our students and partners. Students are in control of their own journey and have access to the portal 24/7, meaning they can submit their tasks at a time that suits them.
“Once the student completes all four stages of the test, the assessing examiner prepares a report summarising the student’s results from each of the four assessment tasks and gives a final certificate of language level. A detailed performance report is also provided to the student.”
For more information on preparation for taking the test, please visit the website.
The University’s Global Opportunities Office is the first point of contact for International and Transnational Education students going through the application process to becoming a student.
