Graduation heralds success for international college students

Almost 400 University of Wolverhampton International students celebrated their success recently in Kathmandu when they attended a prestigious graduation ceremony.

361 graduates who had studied for degrees in Computer Science and 35 graduates who had studied for degrees in International Business Management at Herald College, Kathmandu, attended the ceremony alongside Prakash Shrestha, CEO at the College, and Tim Steele, Pro Vice-Chancellor at the University of Wolverhampton.

The University of Wolverhampton has been working successfully with international teaching organisations around the world for a number of years, providing partner institutions with further and higher education. This includes preparatory courses, undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, research and professional development programmes, and consultancy. The University of Wolverhampton has been in partnership with Herald College since February 2018.

Transnational education (TNE) gives students around the world the opportunity to study in their home country for a University of Wolverhampton degree.

At the ceremony, Herald College also awarded a student with the Innovate Nepal Group Postgraduate Scholarship, which allows the student to pursue an international Master’s degree course in Business Administration.

The graduates celebrated the significant milestone with their families, guardians, teachers and friends.

Prakash Shrestha, CEO of Herald College Kathmandu, said: “We are very proud of the impeccable achievements that you have made. There is nothing beyond your capacity. You can now see possibilities no one has seen before. You can always win as long as you have the zeal to win.”

Tim Steele, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wolverhampton, said: “It gives me immense pleasure and honour to hand these certificates to future achievers, and I would like to congratulate Herald College on furthering our University’s dream of taking education to the next level, which in turn helps us contribute back to our societies.”

Herald College has been providing an immersive and professional curriculum to its students over the years through its Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and International Business Management and now offers a Master’s Degree in International Business Administration.

62 students studying at Biratnagar International College, Nepal, have also graduated with Undergraduate degrees in International Business Management.

The University of Wolverhampton has been in partnership with Biratnagar International College (formally Merryland College) since May 2013 offering degree courses in International Business Management.

The students attended with their parents. The Innovate Nepal Group (ING Group) has arranged scholarships for the best students to progress onto the Postgraduate Master's degree course.

Both colleges are part of the ING group and our fastest growing TNE partner with over 1,200 students studying degree courses.
