Digital Insights survey (Student)

The University of Wolverhampton (‘The University’, ‘we’ or ‘us’) are a ‘Data Controller’, as defined by the Data Protection Act 2018 and are responsible for, and control the processing of your Personal Data. Our Data Protection Officer can be contacted at dataprotection@wlv.ac.uk.

This survey is carried out by the University of Wolverhampton in conjunction with JISC, to gather student feedback about their experiences around their digital learning environment. The data we have captured within the survey itself is not identifiable, however some of the free text responses you provide may become identifiable depending on the response you provide. Your responses are housed within the JISC survey system and are accessible by University of Wolverhampton staff for the purposes of understanding and improving the student experience which is a legitimate interest of the University.

We will retain your survey responses for three years for benchmarking purposes.

There is a separate prize draw, for which we will collect your email addresses, if you choose to enter. This data is also stored in the JISC system until the prize draw has ended in January 2024, when it will be destroyed. The University relies on legitimate interest to process your personal data in this instance.

As an individual, you have a number of rights available to you. To find out more about how you may exercise those rights, please see our Data Protection web pages available here or the ICO website for more information.
