Microsoft 365
The University provides Microsoft apps such as Outlook for email and calendar, Word for documents, OneDrive for storing and sharing files, and Teams for chat and video. Staff and students can use these on University devices and students can use them on their own PC or laptop.
NEW STUDENTS: Do not buy Microsoft 365 apps. You can get them for free when you join the University and use them throughout your studies.
If you are a member of staff, the Microsoft 365 apps will already be installed on your University device.
You can also use the online versions of the apps by signing in at https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps with your University email address and password.
Students can install Microsoft 365 apps on their own PC or laptop. You can install them on up to five devices.
IMPORTANT: Remove any older versions of Microsoft Office, Office 365, or Microsoft 365 before installing the new apps.
After signing in to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/appswith your University email address, you will see the Apps page.
Many apps can be used directly from this page without installing them. If you want to install an app, select the Install apps button in the top-right corner and follow the instructions on the screen.

For help installing Microsoft 365 apps on your device, follow Microsoft's guidance at How to Install Microsoft 365 Apps.
If using a tablet or mobile phone
You can use Microsoft 365 apps by downloading them from your usual app store. Staff who want to use Microsoft 365 on a personal phone or tablet must first enrol their device.
The Microsoft 365 training website offers a wide range of resources for staff and students. These include quick-start guides, video tutorials, and easy-to-follow instructions for different apps. https://support.microsoft.com/

After the three-month period, access to your University Microsoft 365 account will be removed.
